hello!

I am an animal obsessed illustrator living in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.

As well as my original illustrations, cards and prints I create bespoke pet and family portraits, and illustrations for writers, bringing stories and beloved companions to life.

Growing up in the picturesque countryside of North Yorkshire, I found inspiration all around me. My rural upbringing informs my work as an illustrator, where I focus on capturing the energy and charm of working dogs, equestrian pursuits and vibrant country scenes.

Dynamic movement is a hallmark of my art - I love painting animals “in action”, from bouncing sheep to dogs chasing a ball. Each of my creatures wears a visible smile.

The name StrayCat pays homage to the feral studio cats I have rescued (collected). Meet the Team!
